Drawn from Andreas Koefoed and Jørgen Leth’s documentary Music For Black Pigeons, this soundtrack collects Jakob Bro compositions recorded during the film’s 14-year production. Bro is joined by an extraordinary group of improvisers including Bill Frisell, Lee Konitz, Craig Taborn, Paul Motian, Andrew Cyrille, Arve Henriksen and Midori Takada. Recorded across New York, Copenhagen and Lugano, the music captures spontaneous performances and close musical exchanges, including some of the final recordings by Konitz and Motian.
